Terms of Use
Lougawou account and services
This English version is provided for convenience. In case of divergence, the French version prevails.
## 1. Purpose
These terms govern the creation and use of the Lougawou account, which gives access to the game, the digital role cards and the services that come with them. They complement the terms of sale in force — today the Terms of Participation (lougawou.app/en/terms), tomorrow those of the shop once it opens — which alone govern payments, and the Privacy Policy (lougawou.app/en/privacy).
2. The account
The account is created with an e-mail address verified by code, or through Google or Apple. An account is personal: it belongs to a single person, who agrees to provide accurate information. The first name you enter is the name you carry in games; it is visible to the other players.
Creating an account is open to anyone aged 15 or over; below that age, the agreement of a holder of parental authority is required.
3. Role cards and digital content
The role cards, illustrations, videos and texts of the game are protected by copyright. A card you obtain — as a gift, through a contribution or by purchase — is granted under a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence, to play and to share the content the game expressly offers for sharing. It cannot be resold or transferred from one account to another, and grants no rights over the works themselves.
A support code attaches to a single account, permanently, in accordance with the Terms of Participation. The contribution record registered at payment is proof of the acquired right, independently of any code.
3 bis. Purchases
Prices of digital content are displayed in euros, all taxes included. Every purchase is governed by the terms of sale in force on the day of the order, which state the content purchased and its price before any payment.
When digital content unlocks immediately after payment, immediate delivery is offered with your express consent and your express waiver of the right of withdrawal (article L.221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code) — without that consent, the content is delivered at the end of the fourteen-day withdrawal period.
Digital content carries the statutory guarantee of conformity (articles L.224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code): non-conforming content is brought into conformity, or refunded if conformity is impossible.
Purchases made inside the mobile applications may be collected by Apple or Google: the transaction then follows the payment terms of the app store, without reducing your statutory rights towards us.
A purchase by an unemancipated minor requires the authorisation of a holder of parental authority.
4. Your data
Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy. Two points specific to the account: the “news” checkbox commands the single subscription to project news, reversible at any time through the checkbox itself or the unsubscribe link in every mailing; the gender question is optional and serves only to assign illustrations within the game — never for communications.
5. Fair use
You agree not to disrupt the service: no cheating organised through technical means, no unauthorised access, no abusive automated use, no unlawful content or content infringing the rights of others in free fields.
6. Breaches: measures and recourse
In case of breach of these terms, measures follow this order: warning, then suspension, then closure of the account — except for serious misconduct justifying an immediate measure.
Every measure is notified by e-mail with its grounds and, except for serious misconduct, with notice allowing you to respond. You may contest any measure by writing to contact@lougawou.app: a contest opens a guaranteed review by a person — no suspension or closure decision is ever fully automated.
7. Availability and evolution of the service
The game evolves; features may appear, change or disappear. We aim for continuous availability without being able to guarantee it, and our liability is assessed under ordinary law. Should the service ever shut down permanently, the commitments of the Terms of Participation remain.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. Every new version is dated, archived, and announced by e-mail before it comes into force; if you disagree, you may close your account under article 9. No change applies retroactively to a right already acquired.
9. Closing the account
You may close your account at any time by writing to contact@lougawou.app. Closure deletes the profile; legal proof (contributions, consents) is kept for as long as the law requires.
Paid cards attach to the person, not to the existence of the account. If the account is closed — at your request or under article 6 — the acquired right is preserved: it is restored on simple request to contact@lougawou.app, if need be on a new account of the same person; if restoration is impossible, the amount paid for the cards is refunded. Only serious misconduct, established under article 6, may forfeit the benefit of digital content — never the refund of unconsumed amounts where the law requires it.
10. Mediation and applicable law
These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution is sought first: contact@lougawou.app. In accordance with articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, you may freely refer the matter to the following consumer mediator: CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris — online referral: www.cm2c.net. Failing amicable resolution, the French courts have jurisdiction under ordinary law.
Version 2 — in force as of August 24, 2026, archived in the database under version, with the same proof mechanism as the Terms of Participation. Established under the owner's method: sourced instruction and adversarial verification. The French version prevails.
