Terms of Participation

1. Publisher

lougawou.app is published by Angelinsight, a French société par actions simplifiée with a capital of €1,000, registered with the Paris Trade Register (RCS) under number 940 148 448, headquartered at 9 rue des Colonnes, 75002 Paris, France. EU VAT: FR24940148448. Contact: contact@lougawou.app.

2. Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA — vercel.com). Collected data is stored in a database hosted in the European Union (Supabase, EU region).

3. Purpose

The “Support the project” page lets any adult financially support the development of the Lougawou universe — notably two projects in preparation: a physical edition of the card game and an anime pilot. Any contribution implies acceptance of these terms.

4. Nature of contributions

4.1 Contributions are made by tiers (from €3, €10, €20, €50 and €100), each granting the digital rewards described on the page on the day of payment. These contributions constitute sales under the French Consumer Code for their firm digital component (article 5), with, where applicable, a conditional benefit (article 6).

4.2 Contributions support a creative project; they are neither an investment, nor equity, nor a loan, and grant no right over Angelinsight or the project's revenues.

5. Digital rewards

5.1 €3 tier (“The Gesture”): one premium role card of your choice. €10 tier (“Compère”): a full pack of premium role cards of your choice (Dark Forces or The Watchers of the Bourg). €20 tier (“Compère of the Bourg”) and above: all Season 1 premium role cards. €100 tier (“Founder”), limited to one hundred contributions: every premium role card of the game, including future seasons published in the app, attached to the account for life. This right covers premium role cards (playable characters) only; it does not extend to cosmetics, event content or distinct products or services. Once one hundred is reached, the Founder tier closes for good.

5.2 Delivery. Digital rewards are delivered as a personal unlock code, sent by email to the address used at payment, when the game goes live. The right is acquired and recorded at payment; the code is then entered in the contributor's Lougawou account. Lost code or address mismatch: contact@lougawou.app for resend or manual reattachment, subject to reasonable verification.

5.3 Duration. Digital rights are attached to the account for the life of the service. Should the service permanently close, no compensation is due beyond legal obligations.

6. Conditional benefit: the physical edition (€50 and €100 tiers)

6.1 The physical edition is a project in preparation, with no commitment as to completion or date. Shipping a copy to €50+ contributors is a conditional benefit, subject to the edition actually being produced.

6.2 If it is, a copy is shipped to the address provided at shipping time (an address collection will be organised by email), shipping included to mainland France and the French Outre-mer; other destinations may require a shipping contribution.

6.3 If the edition is not produced, the contribution remains acquired per article 8, the tier's digital rewards remaining due. The conditional benefit is not a sale of goods under article L.216-1 of the French Consumer Code.

7. Prices, VAT, receipts

Amounts are in euros, all taxes included. Applicable VAT is collected and remitted by Angelinsight at the current rate. A receipt is emailed after each payment; an invoice can be requested at contact@lougawou.app.

8. No refund & reallocation

8.1 Contributions are non-refundable, subject to mandatory legal provisions and article 9.

8.2 Contributions primarily fund the project chosen by the contributor (physical edition, anime, or both). If a project cannot be completed, the corresponding amounts are reallocated to the development, upkeep and growth of the Lougawou universe, notably the app. This destination is disclosed before payment and accepted by the contributor.

9. Right of withdrawal

9.1 The contributor has fourteen days from payment to withdraw, without cause, by writing to contact@lougawou.app. The refund is made within fourteen days; the rights and unlock codes attached to the contribution are cancelled.

9.2 As digital rewards are delivered when the game goes live, no waiver of the right of withdrawal is requested at payment.

10. Personal data

Collected data (email address, first name where provided, amount, tier, vote, date, consents, version of these terms accepted) is processed by Angelinsight, data controller, to perform the contribution, deliver rewards, keep accounts and — under the customer relationship — send project news, with opposition possible at any time. Payment is processed by Stripe, processor, sole collector of card data. Data is stored in the EU (Supabase); the site is served by Vercel; service emails are routed by a technical provider. Data is kept for the legal accounting duration (10 years for records) and, for news, until opposition. Rights of access, rectification, erasure, opposition and portability: contact@lougawou.app. Complaints: CNIL (cnil.fr).

11. Intellectual property

“Lougawou” is a trademark registered with the INPI. All site and game content (texts, characters, artwork, music, universe elements) is protected by intellectual property law. Contributing transfers no rights.

12. Liability, mediation, applicable law

Angelinsight is bound by an obligation of means in conducting the supported projects. These terms are governed by French law. Under articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the contributor may freely refer to the consumer mediator: CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, association approved by the CECMC, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris — online referral: www.cm2c.net. Failing amicable resolution, French courts have jurisdiction under ordinary rules.
